Dump Cake

This recipe is called Dump Cake because you literally dump all the ingredients into one baking pan, and it comes out as a terrific dessert.  This is a nice, easy cake for kids to bake as it is so easy and with just a little supervision they can make Dump Cake.

Ingredients:
1 yellow cake mix (any brand)
1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple with juice
1 can cherry pie filling
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans work well)
1/4 c. butter melted

Instructions:
Take a 9'' by 13" baking pan and dump pineapple with juice and cherry pie filling into bottom of pan.  Mix lightly to distribute fruit evenly across pan.

Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix right out if the box evenly over fruit.
Add nuts and coconut and sprinkle evenly over cake mix.  Drizzle melted butter evenly over top of all.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until coconut is toasted (don't burn the coconut.)  If the coconut is toasting too quickly, you may need to use a lower oven rack.
Serve when cooled with Whip Cream.  Marvelous!
