Mincemeat Coffee Cake
Ingredients: 2 c. flour 3/4 c. sugar 2½ t. baking powder ½ t. salt ½ c. shortening 1 egg ½ c. milk 3/4 c. mincemeat ½ c. nuts
Instructions: Sift dry ingredients cut in shortening. Mix in egg and milk. Add mincemeat and nuts. Bake 350º 35-40 min. or until done. Sugar glaze may be poured over cake while warm.
Powdered Sugar Glaze:
1 box powdered sugar ½ c. milk vanilla salt
Mix all together and bring to a boil for about 7 minutes or until becomes clear glaze.
