Easy Monkey Bread Recipe

I have to say that this Monkey Bread Recipe was unknown to me until I saw a movie where they talked about how good it is. So I had to do some research and try the recipe for myself.

It sort of reminds me of cinnamon rolls, but better. This Monkey Bread dessert is really easy to make and it is truly a gooey, sticky pleasure to eat. It is addictive too, so watch out!

 Monkey Bread

Ingredients:
2 pkgs. (tubes) refrigerated biscuits
2 t. cinnamon
1-1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. nuts (walnuts or pecans work well)
1/2 raisins or dates(optional)
Pam spray or other non-stick spray

Instructions:

Mix together cinnamon and 1/2 c. sugar and set aside.
Melt butter and mix 1 c. sugar into butter and set aside.
Roll out the biscuits and shape into log. Cut each one into fourths.
Roll the dough sections in the cinnamon/ sugar mixture.

Spray tube pan with non-stick cooking spray. Take half of the rolls and arrange them in a tube pan.

Sprinkle nuts over rolls. Drizzle some of the butter mixture over rolls and repeat another layer.

Bake in 350 degrees oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from oven and invert onto a serving dish. Allow to cool 5 minutes before removing from pan. You may need to tap gently on the pan to loosen the Monkey Bread. Serve and enjoy.
