Pineapple Upside-down Cake
This is a semi-homemade Pineapple Upside Down Cake because this calls for a store bought yellow cake mix. It is so simple to make and is
really delicious.
You could also use your own yellow cake mix if you like, but for the sake of semi-homemade, this is my Pineapple Upside Down Cake recipe.
Follow the instructions carefully and you will have a beautiful dessert.
Ingredients:
1 yellow cake mix (prepared according to package instructions)
1 c. brown sugar
½ c. butter or margarine
1 c. pecans
1 lg. can sliced pineapple
Maraschino cherries
Instructions:
Prepare cake mix according to package instructions and set aside.
Melt butter and pour into bottom of 9” x 13” cake pan.
Mix brown sugar and pecans and sprinkle over top of butter.
Lay pineapple slices evenly across top of brown sugar mixture.
Place one maraschino cherry in center of each pineapple slice.
Gently pour prepared cake batter over top of all pineapple slices until fills bottom of pan using all the batter.
Bake at 350º for about 30 minutes or until cake is brown and wooden pick inserted comes out clean.
Let cake cool a few minutes and then invert cake onto oblong cake plate. Gently tap bottom of cake pan to ensure nothing sticks to the
bottom of the pan before removing from cake. Thus- Pineapple Upside-down Cake, pretty to look at and delicious to eat. Enjoy.
